RG stands for “RADIO GUIDE” a terminology used by the Military during the war, now modern time refers RG-6 as a Coaxial cable with a quality of 18 AWG center conductor and 75 ohms characteristic impedance.
WHY RG-6 COAXIAL CABLE
The RG-6 Coaxial cable has a larger 18 AWG Center Conductor ( rod ) and also providing higher bandwidth and longer distance capability coverage.
Universally, RG-6 Coaxial Cable is used in Cable TV and Digital Satellite TV installation services.
This cable has different sizes packaged by the producer.
