A Satellite can be defined as an object or artificial body placed in space that rotates round the Moon, Earth, or other Planets for the purpose of collecting information or for communication.

We have two kinds of Satellite, natural and artificial satellite.Example of Natural Satellite is the Moon and it rotates around the earth while the example of the artificial satellite is the Man made object (space station) that rotates around the earth.

The importance of satellite that it can collect more data quickly than any other instrument. Also satellite communication and signal remain steady without outages or lost in communication unlike the terrestrial.
